Music

The music and songs for the show have been professionally recorded, and are based on simple tunes which the children will be able to sing along to. The words and music to the Rainbow Diet song will be provided electronically to the school, and the actors will teach the children the song before the show. The words in the songs will ideally be projected on a screen during the show, and can be explored more fully in workshops that follow the show.

Top Trumps

Most 5-11 year olds will be familiar with Top Trump playing cards. Originally popular in the mid 70’s, they have made a very successful comeback over recent years. The show is fortunate to have secured agreement and support from the company that makes the cards Winning Moves UK, to produce five cards for the show DR FREG, GERMBUSTER, BANANA, AVOCADO and RAINBOW DIET. A number of children will be given cards to refer to during the show, and as rewards for participation. The cards will be used during the show and workshops, as they contain valuable nutritional information, and a complete set will also be given to each school.

Fruit and Vegetables

The show uses a combination of artificial and real foods. Whole Foods Market donated all the consumables for the pilot shows, and continue to support us by allowing us to use a basket, and Abel and Cole have also generously donated produce and props when possible. The Co-operative have donated a trolley which is a key prop in the show!
