How They Work

Workshops for Years 1-6 can be to a whole Year group (but 60 children maximum)- smaller numbers will allow a more personalised approach. Rainbow Workshops are to one class only (approximately 30 children).

Schools will need to ensure the correct staff: pupil ratio is maintained at all times, depending on the size of the audience. At least three members of I Know Why It’s Yum, Mum! will deliver each workshop, but a couple of members of staff will be expected to help out during the activities..

Each workshop will take into consideration the extent to which the pupils are already likely to have come across the key messages at school or at home. We will work with the school to ensure that workshops are appropriate to the social and community environment of the school.
